The Colours of Summer

You’ve waited all winter, hiding your body away. It’s had to remain covered, stuck in survival mode. As the days grow longer, the light becomes purer and with that the temperature rises, stirring the senses and stimulating heart and mind. You feel alive again. The time has arrived to worship the long-awaited sun god - a celebration is called for!
Put away the black jerseys and the sombre tones you’re been forced to wear during those winter months. Now is the time to welcome and embrace that long-awaited intensity of warmth and light that your body has yearned for - craved, even - since the clocks went forward.
We celebrate this annual occurrence in somewhat pagan fashion by adorning ourselves with colour; primarily those shades subtly associated with the beauty of this most cherished season, including rich, wild oranges, blues that match the intensity of summer skies, and the deep tones of long warm evenings, where moon supersedes sun.
The varying greens of trees and hedgerows that dance in direct sunlight offer further inspiration for our summer wardrobe; so too the pinks of border flowers and the dazzling white of stone buildings seemingly washed clean by ultra violet.
Colour, pattern, fit and style are some of the most important factors that influence and contribute to our decision-making process when buying kit, and there will always be those for whom risk-taking plays a major role in brand selection.
Style is very much a personal affair - a factor Simpson openly acknowledges and champions. With this particular statement in mind, we would like to offer you our selection of this year’s summer jerseys; the garments that are doing it for us right now. As ever, we only recommend what we ourselves are riding.
Bare arms and legs, tan lines and sunglasses are the trophies of summer. Let the celebration of warmth and light begin.
